  • Teachers with their students create “gene cards” of some of the most relevant genes present on human chromosomes and prepare a poster; when a "gene card" is completed, the name and the position of the gene are annotated on the chromosome together with a QR code to get all the genetic informations collected in the card (protein, mutations, relevant aspects of the associated disease, curiosities, links to videos…). Teachers working in tandem with their students can create new "gene cards“ visiting the relevant biological databases. This procedure of “Citizen-Science” can increase the public's understanding of science.
